(Sort of) Farewell to Chris as Biodiversity Facilitator

It’s been two years since Chris Konings became our Biodiversity Facilitator, and what an incredible journey it has been! In that time, Chris has been at the heart of building connections, supporting projects, and sparking new initiatives across our community.

One of his standout achievements has been getting Eco Youth off the ground. Chris especially enjoyed the Eco Youth camp, giving young people the chance to experience nature hands-on, build friendships, and grow their confidence as future environmental leaders.

Another milestone has been the work with the community around the Normanby Lagoon, where Chris has played a key role in helping them come together and form a catchment group. This collaborative effort is all about restoring and protecting the lagoon and its surrounding ecosystem for the long term.

Thank you Chris for your energy over these past two years. While his role will look different due to funding changes, we’re excited to keep Chris as part of the team – involved in Trees for Survival for schools and our gardening development projects.

Watch this space for what’s next!
