We’ll be diving into practical ways we can make a difference locally. Come prepared with your questions and suggestions. We’re keen to hear your thoughts on what you’d find most helpful and impactful for our environment. We have connections to make it happen.
Open to all rangatahi
Join us for an engaging evening as we discuss critical environmental concerns right here in our community and our schools. This is your chance to shape the future! We want to work smarter and understand how we can best serve you. Wish-Outcome-Obstacle-Plan WOOP. Bring your environment group along or anyone that’s interested. We’ll be exploring various initiatives and ideas, and coming up with a plan!
Some ideas are:
- Food resilience – how to grow what we need
- Why bother- bringing back the native birds, geckos, bats, invertebrates & plants
- Bush and Seaside restoration events – planting, weeding, clean ups
- Potting up – growing more native plants
- Addressing wilding pines – making a difference one pine at a time
- Trapping programs – how to set one up in your school
- Information lectures – on a range of environmental topics
- Sustainability ideas – being plastic free, using batteries, EV’s & free power
- Lobbying the Government and District Council on their long-term plans
And the best part? We’ll have fun while doing it!
Stay on longer after 6:30 PM for food! (RSVP if you want food)
