Lets start off by voting for Bird of the Year. This competition has been running since 2025 to raise awareness for our native wildlife, their habitats, and the threats they face. Tragically, many of Aotearoa New Zealand’s native species are in danger of becoming extinct, so they need all the recognition they can get.
Who remembers 2023’s champaign? It will go down in history, as the Australasian Crested Grebe won Bird of the Century last year, thanks to a global campaign by British-American comedian John Oliver. Pretty awesome bird to target for his international campaign!
